Lijiang – Crowne Plaza Hotel

I have to say my husband picks the most interesting and challenging vacations for us as a family. For Easter we decided to go and travel though South Western China. It was hard for me to imagine what this trip was going to be like…I was worried about hiking through a gorge with one child who is overly confident so much so that she is often careless and falling into a gorge would be problematic and my other child who is nervous about heights and on the clumsy side. Falling off the gorge could be an issue. It weighed so heavily on my mind that I considered tethering one child to a parent…but then that didn’t seem safe either.
After two flights and landing into Lijiang – an Ancient Tea Horse City in China, in the early evening we booked into the Crowne Plaza. http://www.crowneplaza.com/hotels/us/en/lijiang/ljgac/hoteldetail?sicreative=15267816938&dp=true&sicontent=0&sitrackingid=281718746&siclientid=4477. A beautiful hotel at the edge of the old city. Far enough from the noise and the karaoke and just really minutes away from the crazy outdoor food court.
